Green skin tutorial / Tutoriel peau verte

Colors / Couleurs

Steps / Etapes

To start with simple and fast bases, I use an airbrush for my first layer in green (70.969 / 969 PA), overall opaque layer, on black base.
Then, always with airbrush, I do my first light in lemon green (70.827 / 827 PA).
I make a focus on the center of the face.
I take perpandicular angle on the face, plunging 3/4.

I take my brush with lemon green (70.827 / 827 PA) to have more light than do with the airbrush. the airbrush don't go to opaque layer. I fix this with the brush.
I add some lines on the neck to do the folds.

I take a mix of lemon green (70.827 / 827 PA) and green yellow (70.954 / 954 PA) to do the lights : face, ears, shoulders and callorbones.
Then, I decrease my light with green yellow (70.954 / 954 PA). The rule: on the line of light, I paint only 2/3 of the length of this light with the green yellow (70.954 / 954 PA).

To finish the light, I paint with light yellow (70.949 / 949 PA) keeping the length of 1/3 regarding the length of my first light. This step is only done for the face, to keep the focus on it.
Ivory (70.918 / 918 PA) dots are added on the nose and the forehead.

To increase contrasts, I will play with the colorimetry and add more warmth, the green skin being cold. For that, I add a fine layer of orange brown (70.981 / 981 PA) on intermediate shadows. For the shadows, I proceed in two steps: 1- I add dark sea blue (70.898 / 898 PA) to the green (70.969 / 969 PA) to darken all shadows, 2-for deep shadows, I add black red (70.859 / 859 PA) to the green (70.969 / 969 PA), always in fine layers.
For the eyes, I use Carroburg Crimson (GW shade) under the eyes.

Spots / Taches

For the spots,  I use a mix of dark sea blue (70.898 / 898 PA) and green (70.969 / 969 PA), very diluted, to do a drop on the skin. I start with the biggest spot et then, all arround, I draw smaller spots.

Mouth / Bouche

For the mouth (as for the nose and ears), I use the red beige (70.804 / 804 PA). I use a mix of lemon green (70.827 / 827 PA) and red beige (70.804 / 804 PA) to do the transition between areas.
I paint the light of lips with a mix of red beige (70.804 / 804 PA) and ivory (70.918 / 918 PA).
For the teeth, I use a mix of German C. black brown (70.822 / 822 PA) and stone grey (70.884 / 884 PA), then only stone grey () and ivory (70.918 / 918 PA) for the last lights.

Tatoos - Scar / Tatouages - Balafre

For the tatoos, I use a mix of dark sea blue (70.898 / 898 PA) and green (70.969 / 969 PA) to draw the shapes
For the scars, I use Carroburg Crimson (GW shade) in the cavities and a mix of Red Tamiya (X-27) and black (Scalecolor Black) to do the blood on the left eye.
